  1. There was a woman living in Valentia one time. She had a servant boy.
    When the time came to pay boy she would not pay him. They brought the case to court and some pople think she bribed the judge because he agreed with her.
    The boy went to America and his last words were; "I will haunt you dead or alive."
    He left his clothes after him and one night she threw the clothes into the sea but they were washed up on the strand again. This happened for three (weeks) nights and then she gave up. Some time after she used to hear a sound like a ticking of a watch in every wooden article in the house. She built a new house but it was no good.
