    For spinning the wool it used to be shorn off the sheep, then it used be washed and all the oil and dirt washed out of it. Then it used be taken to the mill at Ballymalis near Killorglin and carded into little rolls. It used be spun into thread. Before that all the carding and spinning used be done by the women in their own homes.
