- I am twenty years of age. I remember reading a book long ago and when I had it finished I said to myself, "If ever I should chance to be an author I think my ambitions would be achieved." I kept on reading until I had a great number of books read and at last I thought that there must be some trait of an author in me. So I set to work and here I am.
I live in the country and get up at dawn. After a long walk I begin my work in my study, Some hours after I have breakfast and then I return to work. If I am feeling in the mood I work late into the night. A long walk or a ride(continues on next page)
