    oaten meal cake, yellow meal cake potato cake and the rich people ate the whole-flour cake.
    The meat they used was pork and beef. They never ate bread on Christmas night. They always ate potatoes.
    On Easter Sunday they never used eggs. Instead they ate Guddy or stirabout. On November's night the people ate oaten-meal cake and they played more games than the people do now. Fish was the principal food in olden times, and you would get fourteen herrings for sixpence.
    Milk was always used before tea came into being and the people would die
