    put on the tongs and left there until it was baked. The yellow meal cake was made in the same way. The potato cake was made with potatoes mixed with a grain of flour. It was then put into a pan to be baked.
    The Boxty Bread was made from raw potatoes which were scraped out by a scraper and mixed with milk. It was baked in a pan.
    Bread was also made from wheat and corn. There was always a sign of a cross cut on the top of the cake so that it would bake well. The bread was baked on a plate made of metal or on a shallow pan. The
