- The wild birds in my district are the wild geese, the wild duck the curlew, and the philibin. All these remain with us but the wild geese migrate once a year. The wild geese depart from us in the beginning of Spring, and they visit us again at the end of Autumn. Wild geese never build their nests in this country. They migrate to Scotland and build there. The wild duck build their nests in rushes and in bogs. The wren builds its nest under the eves of houses
