I live in the village of Cloonaughduff (Clonnach Dubh) This village got its name from the dark meadow. It is situated five miles to the south of Castlebar. It is a big village and on one side of it there is a bog.
There are eight houses in my village and about eighty people. There is one old person. He knows Irish but he does not speak it.
Whe have a field called "Glan". It got its name because it was at the bottom of a hill. "Druimeen" got its name from a little hill. "Mac Adams" got its name because there was a man there named Mac Adam who owned it long ago.
