- Long ago people made use of herbs and other wild weeds to cure their ailments. They had no doctors and they had to seek remedies themselves.
They had no money to buy medicine and they had to make use of herbs.
They made use of food left over by a ferret for the whooping cough. Use was made of water for a tooth ache. A spoon of water was put into the tooth and this was supposed to cure it. If a man riding a white horse was asked for a cure for the whooping cough what-ever remedy he gave was supposed(continues on next page)- Collector
