    cake was called "Tona Steel". If the people were going a journey they would always like to have a few grains of oatmeal with them. The reason for this was they used to take weaknessess or "féar gorta" and if they eat a few grains of oatmeal they would be allright.
    The dinner consisted of boiled potatoes and milk. The supper consisted of a pot of stirabout and milk.
