It is divided into two parts a place for cows and a place for calves.
When the cows are in the barn they are tied to a stak with an iorn chain around their necks. Cows are also tied if they are leaving their own field. They are tied by the neck and leg or horn and leg. The local names for tyings are "Spansel" Sidelang and Fetter.
Our horse is kept in a stable with a wooden stall. He is fed with hay and oats in the stall. He is shod at the forge by the blacksmith and he is clipped with a hair clippers.
It is said it is lucky to have a goat among the farm animals.
