- Borrowing a churnThere lived a woman in Knappabeg. She borrowed a churn from a neighbour-woman who told her to put a couple (^) heads of cabbage in it when she would be bringing it back. The woman that borrowed the churn could not get any butter at all when she churned nor for several times afterwards. She came to the conclusion that she would demand the butter from the other woman and told her if she would not give her the butter she would tell the parish priest to give it out of the altar.
