The next thing John saw was his own red cow and the fairies minding her. John caught the cow's tail but the fairies hit him a blow of their sticks and the cow went wild through the palace. John kept a hold of cow's tail all the time and she broke everything that was in the palace. At last the fairies told him to go out or that they would change him into a fairy.
