- Food in the Olden Times
Before the famine oaten-meal was eaten for every meal, and after the famine it was yellow-meal. They used to work two hours before the breakfast and then go in and get their breakfast of yellow-meal. Then they would go out to their work again. They would get the same thing again for the dinner and the same thing again for the supper.
