    a white sheet that they would have left under the querns. They would make the bread on a thing they called a loset. The loset was made of boards. They put in the meal into the loset and then they put in the salt and the soda and the milk and then mixed it the same as the people do now. Then they would put it down on the griddle iron. More of them put it down in a spatcher. They would only make one or two or sometimes three cakes at a time, because they would only grind as much oaten meal as would make one or two cakes.
