- There is a pot of gold in Liscarney hill. It is hidden under a bush with a horse's hide and head minding it.
Two men Michael Hoban of Corvey and Patrick Heraty of Liscarney went in search of it. They dig until they came to the hide but then they got and they left it there.
Another man named James Costello of Knappagh came and cut the bush which was growing over it, but when he got up next morning he found his mare dead in the (morning) barn.- Collector
