    The Patron Saint
    of the Parish 22-4- '38.
    The patron Saint of this parish is St.Cronan. St Cronan lived in the seventh century ,and he founded a monastery about a quarter of mile to the south side of the village -on an island.This parish commonly known as Crusheen ,its proper name is Inchicronan .The monastery which St. Cronan founded flourished for two or three centuries until it was felled by some enemies of the Saint.
    In the 12th century the O'Briens of Thomand re -built
