    It is usually with a scissors all the buyers mark the cattle which they buy they also mark them with a paint stick.When you sell your cattle you have to pay a toll of sixpence of each beast.That is to compensate the owner of the fair field.The principal fairs of the year are "The big fair of April in Ennis the 17th of March in Gort and the 3rd of September in Ennis.When the bargain is finished the men shake hands and the seller wishes the buyer luck with the cattle.
