  1. Once there lived an old beggar who spent most of his time in the Glenties district and gave the people much annoyance. He came one stormy night to a farmyard door and as he was not admitted to the farmhouse he went to a byre. He could not get no rest in it, and he was very angry with the farm house dwellers. In the middle of the night he struck a match and set a little burden of hay on fire. He then left the byre.
