  1. 1. Long ago they made dyes from elderberries and the bark of a tree and the heather, and they often used crottle that grows on the rock and it make very good dye.
    2. The smiths would make nails of iron and they would go up to Donegal and buy the things that made them. They were men for making nails and they were called nailers.
    3. They would make combs from cows horns. They would burn lime as they burn it today.
