- This poem was composed by John Sullivan Stook-Island.
He died in the year 1921 and was buried in Dromabaile. It refers to two girls that were vain little creatures.
with button boots and patient tops,
And heels so very high.
And every roll upon their head
would nearly tip the sky. II.
If you chance to meet Miss Foley,
She is surely in great haste,
For she is sure to meet Mick Moran,
From the pump to the Avenue Gates. III.
Next to come is Miss Rahilly,
She is walking proud and slow,
She wants to pick her choise or so. IV.
I will marry Mary Shea.
For she is always in my view,
She will gather up meal and potatoes.
And she will keep me idle too. V.
She will lodge at Juner Shea's.
And she will then spare up my meal,
And won't we have a great spree(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
