    We were just going home from school when it passed over our heads. Its white wings sparkled in the sun and the roar of its mighty engines struck terror into all the dogs in the village. In less than five minutes it seemed no bigger than a seagull. All of a sudden it dipped down behind the horizon and disappeared.
    How quick it can travel. It is only a few hours of sight when we learn that it has arrived in Southampton. It leaves boats, trains & motor-cars behind. How I would love to be sitting beside the Pilot Mountains would seem like tiny bowls & roads like threads winding
