  1. I am a sheperdess and I live in a mountainy district with my sheep. I rise every moring with the sun and I take with me my sheep and go to the mountains. My sheep love me very much and I love them in return. They never seem to be afraid of me but they get very much frightened at strangers.
    I lived quite content for several years until one Summer's day a dreadful event occurred. I was sitting down on a rock under the sweltering sun when I spied a fairy beneath a mushroom. I was so eager to see what was she like that I followed her across the mountains. When I could not catch her I returned and to my surprise my sheep were gone.
