  1. I the village of Buncom about three miles from Ballyheane there lived a very pious old man who from his childhood days never missed attending mass in Ballyheane chapel. It happened on one Sunday morning when he was a very old man and preparing to go to mass, he felt very weak and he thought he would not perform the journey. Still he ventured and about a hundred yards from his own house on the top of a hill he had to sit down and rest.
    He was not able to proceed any further. He decided to say
