- There lived in my district two old people a man and a woman They had two sons. One day when they were going to mass the man said he would pray for one of the sons to be the greatest thief that was ever in the world. The woman said she would pray for the other son to be the holiest man that was ever in the world.
The two boys grew up and one of them was the greatest thief in the world and the other was a holy man.
