- (continued from previous page)and washing the sore in it. The Dandelion is a small yellow plant and the white substance which it contains cures warts if it is rubbed on (the wart). A black snail cures warts if it is taken and rubbed on the wart and then left on a sharp thorn, and according to how the snail is withering the warts disappear. Garlick cures a cold if it is boiled. A foxes tongue takes out a thorn if the sore is washed and the foxes tongue left on it. Then if it is bandaged up the foxes tongue will draw it.
