    very lame, and this encouraged the twpo men.
    They kept after her but failed to catch her, and when they were about a quarter of a mile from the cave the turkey suddenly disappeared from their sight, and when the man beheld this they went back to the cave.
    When they were yet a hundred yards away they saw the soldiers standing over the cave and they hid, and after that the soldiers marched away.
    When the two men came to themselves again they came to the conclusion that it was some friend in the shape of a turkey that came to save them.
