  1. Local Cures Contd.
    There are a great many local cures in my village. Some of those are. The cure for the Chincough was the first man you would meet riding on a white horse to ask him for a cure and whatever he tells you to do you are supposed to do it and that is the cure.
    There is also a cure for the Leckna commonly called mumps and this is it. To walk round the pig-sty four times and each time say. Muckna Muckna )?) Leckna and that is supposed to cure it.
