There is another cure in my village if a person had warts he would get as many knots of straw as he wants, there are always knots in straw. Then the knots are rubbed up and down on the warts and the bits of straw are then thrown out into a duck-house at a cart into that place is supposed to take the warts.
A cure got the tooth ache is to get a gold ring and to put it on your hand.
If you had a whitlow you would get a snail and cut him up and put him on it for a few hours. Then take him off and throw him away.
