    the room door but they were afraid to go any farther. They said that they saw Tom's father looking for something in the press.
    Next night the same thing happened. When he was in the room about five minutes Tom went up and asked him what did he want. He said that he wanted a mass offered for the repose of his soul and that he wanted to pay a bill in Bourkes shop.
    Next day Tom paid for a mass for the repose of his fathers soul. In the evening he paid the bill in the shop.
    Tom's father never came to the house after that night.
