    The Red Caps
About fifty years ago my grand-father was going to the market with some cows. He went out to Dublin at three o'clock in the morning with seven cows. As he was going along Killiney road he saw about five hundred little red men crossing the road and into the wood. My grandfather stopped the cows and let them pass. One cow passed before the little men came. But it did not go far till it died. The man that was with him was Mr Blake and said they were the "Red Caps"
