  1. Long ago St. Patricks Ave was called Greenmount. Most of Greenmount was a big field and a few cabbage gardens. There were four houses and in one of them a fairy woman lived. She had two small legs and she could not walk. When she was tormented she would hop about and hit the person who tormented her. After dark she would go out into the gardens and stay there for a few hours. The people said she played with the fairies. One night she was caught with the fairies and it was then she was called the fairy woman.
