  1. (continued from previous page)
    When he drove to Letterkenny
    From his farm at Lisnanese,
He fought hard for his country,
He's admired by one and all
    This far-famed Politician
    From the hills of Donegal.
He now lives happy and content,
    He lives a private life,
I hear a rumour going round
He soon will take a wife.
The bonfires all will burn bright,
All things will look quite gay,
When he takes his bride up to the church
    On that famous wedding day.
    When the ceremony is over
They will drive off quick and soon,
They will travel over to Paris
    To spend their honeymoon.
On the night of this famed wedding
We will dance in the Town Hall
Ramelton town will be lit up,
    And the hills of Donegal.
