  1. The people of this district wear boots from they are a year old but in summer the children go on the bare feet.
    When boots need to be repaired or mended we send them to the shoemaker to have them repaired but sometimes we get the loan of a neighbour's last and buy leather in Buncrana and repair them ourselves at home, this is done when the boots are not
