  1. In olden times people did not wear boots until they were about 20 years old.
    They only wore them on Sundays to mass put carried them until they were near chapel.
    When going to town the also carried their boots on their shoulders until they were near they were near the town they the would put them on.
    This was done to save the boots as the went bare footed at
