  1. In my parish of Fahan there is only one forge and the owner's Mr William Bell of Tooban and he employs two other men to help him.
    It is a slate roof that is on the forge and a wooden door.
    There is only one fire in the forge. The following are the implements he uses, bellows, Anvil, Vice, Sledge and a hammer.
    He shoes horses, ponys and donkeys. he makes the horse shoe in the forge and also repairs ploughs
