    It is said that the fire ashes should not be thrown out as usuall in the ash pit on the last day of the old year because it is said that the old year cannot be thrown out until the new one comes and it is said therefore to be unlucky to through out the ashes.
    On the 9th of June people wear Oak leaf in honour of Saint Colm Cille, the city of Derry got its name from this Saint who built his first monastery there and built
