  1. A Fairy Fort
There are many traces of forts to be seen in this district and it is said that there forts were inhabited by fairies long ago.
There is a trace of one fairy fort on the "Bar of Glebe" and I have heard old people tell a story about it. A man had his cows grazing in this field and one of them broke her foot at nightfall in the fort. The owner of the cow got two neighbouring men to help him to make shelter for her the night as she was unable to walk to the byre. They were just starting to work when they saw someone coming to them.
