  1. There are several fairy forts in the school district namely Egila's fort, the Corrigans, and Cullies fort, Egilas fort is situated in the townland of Gortnaskeagh and in the parish of Drumlease. Cullies fort is situated in the townland of Shanvaus and in the parish of Killasnett. The Corrigens is situated in the townland of Killinia and in the parish of Drumlease.
    The Corrigens and Egilas fort are both in view of each other. Two of them are circuled with trees and one of them is the face of a rock. There is a mound of earth round two of each of those forts and a big rock round the other.
    There is another fort in John McTiernan's ground. It stands in the townland of Gortnaskeagh
