  1. 1. When two funerals were going to the same graveyard on the same day each party would try to get there before the other because people believed that the last person would be drawing water all night to the Holy Souls.
    2. When the churn was being made long ago, the woman of the house used to take a spark of fire and put it under the churn saying at the same time, "In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen." The people believed that the fire was blessed and by doing the above action they believed that the butter would be free from all harm.
    3. People long ago never liked to pay out money on a Monday because if they paid it that day they believed they would be paying money all the week. They thought it lucky to get money
