- In the same place close to the Doon a fisherman came ashore from his boat with a strap of fish. Somebody took hold of him and led him through an underground passage whose magnificence was too wonderful for description The palace was filled with beautifully dressed people who were enjoying a feast the like of which the poor fisherman could not even imagine before he laid eyes on it.
Somebody whispered into the ear of the visitor that if he wished to return home he should be offered to him. He acted on this advice. By and by the fisherman was overcome by sleep. He woke to find himself lying on a bed of dry ferns and the fish by his side on the very spot where he was taken by the hand and shown the underground palace. The name of that man is given. He lived on to over our own time.- Collector
