    on the Rock's Road. Things remained at a standstill for about two years, but as there was no other bid the property was given to Mrs. O'Brien at her own price.
    The Plan of Campaign then began. Protest meetings were again held, and feeling ran very high in Mullinahone. Ejectment orders were sent out to all tenants, and on a certain day bailiffs and policemen assembled and the evictions began. Sixteen families were evicted in one day, and sixty extra policemen were drafted in from Clonmel, Carrick and Fethard for the occasion. The Chapel bell was rung throughout the day, John Norton of Fethard St. being one of the bell-ringers that day. The policemen, however, stopped the bell-ringing in the end. The tenants had
