  1. The Feast of St. Patrick falls on the 17th March. It is kept as a great festival because St. Patrick brought the true faith to Ireland. He is the National Apostle of Ireland and the men and women wear shamrock and the young girls and boys wear badges and shamrock because it was by the shamrock that Saint Patrick taught the true faith to the people He said, "As there are three leaves on one stem, in the same way there are Three Divine Persons in One God." St. Patrick also banished the snakes out of Ireland.
