    I live in the townland of Toome, and in the parish of Carrickedmond. It is in the Diocese of Ardagh. There are ten slated houses in Toome and seven thatched houses. There are 62 people living in it. These are the names of the people living in my district over seventy-years, James McGrath, Toome; Mr. Plant, Toome; Mrs. Rhatigan, and Mrs. Yorke, Toome. Those people know no Irish.
