    Q. As I was going to the fair of Mines, I met a tinker with nine wives, each wive had a sack, each sack a cat. How many were going to the fair of Mines.
    A. One. Because I only met the tinkers.
    Q. Why does the hen scrape the pan?
    A. Because she can't lick it.
    Q. What is the difference between a hill and a pill.
    A. One goes up and the other goes down.
    Q. A whole roomful of it and you could not catch a spoonful of it.
    A. Smoke.
    Q. Twenty four white cows tied in a pen, out comes a red one and licks them all.
    A. Your tongue licking your teeth.
    Q. What part of a tree is like a dog?
    A. The bark.
    Q. Long legs, short thighs, little legs and no eyes.
    A. A thongs.
