  1. The people of now a day know little or nothing about herbs.
    Preshaugh is the most harmful weed in the garden. The chicken weed, dandelion, nettles, lamb's quarter, switch grass, and dock leaves are not so harmful. The fern is a very harmful weed also and it only grows on the poorest soil. Marsh Mallows grow in good rich soil but it does no harm to the plant, it will also cure a burn, cut, or sprain. The chicken weed grows in poor soil. Run-the-hedge is another harmful weed, it grows like wire entanglements in poor soil. The thistle is very harmful in the corn field and when the people are winnowing, the seed
