  1. There was a noted fiddler name Michael Doolan from Ormondstile. He was playing at a dance in a country house till the late hours of the night.
    On going home he met the fairies dancing on the road. The Queen of the fairies said to him "Michael you will have to give us a tune." Michael was afraid and he said that he had no resin for his bow. The Queen handed him the resin and said he'd have to give them a tune.
    Michael started and he outwitted the fairies. So they sent for the best musician they had. They brougt him over to play against Michael for the sum of fifty sovereigns. So Michael beat him and the Queen handed him the fifty sovereigns. Michael was afraid that the money was
