    no, they played with a piece of a black-thorn stick, and a tin beat together.
    They took great delight in playing football with a paper rolled up together and a cord tied round it. Setting traps for rabbits was also a passtime. They set the trap on a great green knoll where it was customary for rabbits to play. Then a bucket of clay was thrown on top of all. The rabbit would go at once to look and tear the clay and the trap would snap and the rabbit was caught.
