    to the Chapel. Then when they were married they would go to the brides house on horseback. The bride and groom would take their tea in the room together and when they would come up to the kitchen some of the neighbours would break the brides-cake on their heads. The bride's cake long ago was made of oaten meal. Then there would be a big scramble for a piece of the bride's cake.
