    2. Another story is told of a man by the name of Pat McNelis who was out digging one day and he hit something hard a spade deep in the soil. He removed the soil and there lay underneath a large flat stone. He removed the stone and to his mortification there lay a three pots of gold. But before he took them out he looked around to see if there were anybody about and saw that the scholars were going to school. He replaced the stone and went home until they would pass by. He returned to find nothing but the spade in the field where all had disappeared.
