  1. Every Farmer in this district sows potatoes. He sets about an acre every year. It is the farmer himself who prepares the ground. Then the woman of the house cut the slits and the boys and girls leave them. A plough is generally used but when a person is setting ridges he uses a spade.
    Spades are not made locally they are bought in the shops. First the people plough the land and drill it. Then the slits are laid and the drills are closed again with a plough.
